01

The focus.

The National Centre for the Performing Arts in Mumbai opened in 1969. By its own account, it hosts more than 700 events a year across theatre, music, dance, film and photography. Its website has to carry that programme with the dignity of the institution, and help a visitor find what is on, on the evening they are free.

02

What we built.

Noesis designed and built ncpamumbai.com around the programme.

  • An events calendar that shows every date in the month, colour-coded by genre, with filters for genre, category and date.
  • Choose a day and its performances appear below the calendar, each with a route to book.
  • Event pages that give the venue, show time, age limit, and member and non-member prices.
  • Pages for every art form and every venue, from the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre to the Sunken Garden.
  • A content management system where the team adds an event once, and it appears in the calendar and on its genre page.

From a free evening to a booked seat

  1. 01Pick a date

The calendar shows every performance that day, by genre.

  2. 02Read the event

Venue, show time, age limit and prices.

  3. 03Sign in

An NCPA account, with consent to share details for booking.

  4. 04Book on BookMyShow

Straight to that event, details already passed on.

03

Tickets, through BookMyShow.

Booking runs through BookMyShow, behind the NCPA’s own pages. A visitor signs in to their NCPA account, chooses Book Now and goes straight to that event on BookMyShow. With the visitor’s consent, the site passes on their name, email address and phone number, so they do not type them again.

04

Found by search and AI engines.

Every event page is plain, readable HTML and publishes structured event data: the name, dates, venue, address, image and description. Search engines and AI tools can read that data to list the event, where it is and when, without guessing from the page layout.

05

Why it matters.

A visitor can go from a free evening to a booked seat in a few steps. The NCPA team publishes each event once, and the calendar, genre pages and structured data follow. The calendar page has been in place since 2019, through a programme that changes every week.
